Project Scope: Develop
transactional-based eLearning elements covering
various SAP transactions for SD, MM, FICO,
Project Systems and other implemented SAP
modules.
Project Solution: Because of the
overwhelming number of individual
process-oriented tasks covered by SAP, ITS
recommended development of transaction-level
simulations to be stored and launched in an
indexing-based Electronic Performance Support
System (EPSS). The ITS team consisted of
instructional designers and eLearning
developers supported by client process SME’s.
Dozens of transactional simulations were developed
to cover such SAP processes as creating purchase
orders, managing inventory, tracking project
status, reconciling invoices, etc.
Project Outcome: The project was
delivered on time and on budget. The client
realized increased efficiency with their
workforce while significantly reducing the
expense of follow up training. The solution also
proved to be highly effective for cross-training
new hires who would have had to be mentored by
existing employees. ITS has continued to work
with this client in various SAP content
development projects.
