Project Scope: As part of a migration
to the Livelink document management system, the
client required a just-in-time and
cost-effective solution for teaching 1500
employees across 2 US cities how to access and
navigate Livelink. This proprietary course
needed to be customized specifically to the
client’s processes for utilizing Livelink. The
scope included deployment of the course and
management of registrations, evaluations and
other logistics.
Project Solution: Due to the size of the
audience and the requirement for a just-in-time
solution, ITS recommended a complete eLearning
solution. Our solution consisted of full
instructional design and development of a 1 hour
and 15 minute simulation-based course with audio
and a test to measure comprehension of material.
The course material is branded with the client’s
logo and colors and designed to be AICC
compliant. ITS managed the deployment and
delivery of the course, including management of
logistics and completion of student
evaluations through our learning management
system (LMS). We managed all email
communications of course availability to
employees. To ensure just-in-time learning, the
client was automatically notified each time an
employee completed the course so they could be
given access to Livelink.
Project Outcome: The project was highly
successful. The eLearning solution proved to be
cost-effective for delivering a course to an
audience of this size and provided a
just-in-time solution for integrating learning
and the migration effort. ITS is engaging in
additional eLearning projects with the parent
company overseas.
